The 12 Tags of Christmas 2019

This set of tags was inspired by the holiday song, “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town”—from the claymation movie I’ve watched every Christmas season since I was a weeble! After I got done with these I had to laugh because they TOTALLY remind me of PEZ candy dispensers! (chuckle)

I didn’t actually film the making of them at the time I made the set, but later on, I did. I didn’t have time to do a voiceover so it’s high speed, set to music.

Santa and the gang will make sure your gifts are delivered to the right recipient, and rather cutely, I might add. (wink)

I don’t think I can actually give this set away to anybody—I’m going to need all the tags I make . . . LOL!

Thanks for stopping by and hope your holiday season is allowing you some creative/crafty time amongst all the hustle and bustle!

MERRY EVERYTHING TRIO OF TREES

Boy, I tell ya’—ever since I got my hands on these Life Changing Blending Brushes, I wanna blend the world. I can’t get over the difference they make for me and my ENJOYMENT of blending. SERIOUSLY!!!

Heat emboss a bunch of trees, die cut them and pop them up over a blended (and snowfall knocked out) background and BOOM!!!

Top the trees with some pom poms and you are GOLDEN!!! Wee bit of glitter paper (I always have scraps I’m hanging onto and cutting them into these skinny strips created the perfect accent).

Turned out so sweet, I can’t even . . .

I suppose everybody’s all done with their holiday card making, but I seriously craft for the holidays, DURING the holidays, right up until the last minute. If I happen not to use everything in the current year, I stash it away for the next year. And, I usually share the spares with my mama and my daughter.

Is it getting festive around your place?

How about some Pinkfresh Studio eye candy? I’m hopping along with the Pinkfresh gang today and have some samples I created with a few dies from their Essentials 3 release!

At the bottom of my post you’ll find details about Pinkfresh Studio’s giveaway and promo so be sure to read the details after checking out these creations:

Feat. Fancy diagonal stripes (PFS) | Other: Essentials: Classic Words Set, Pinkfresh Studio Dies (PFS / EHLLC*)

Feat. Fancy diagonal stripes (PFS) | Other: Essentials: Classic Words Set, Pinkfresh Studio Dies (PFS / EHLLC*)

Need a sweet thank-you for those lovely holiday gifts you received? You can ink blend any color you like onto card stock prior to die cutting, but a lovely shade of red reminds me of candy canes, LOL!

The branch die I used as an accent is retired, but a similar one here would also work well!

Feat. Radiating background 1 (PFS) | Other: Essentials: Classic Words Set, Pinkfresh Studio Dies (PFS / EHLLC*)

This radiating background die is SO fun—with a circle in the center, you can use the opening to create a shaker! Filled mine with teeny star confettis—Gold (similar HERE), Clear Iridescent*, Rainbow Iridescent*

Feat. Teardrop tag with fillable elements (PFS) | Other: Aviary, PinkFresh Studio Clear Stamps (Retiring) (PFS / EHLLC*) ; Aviary, Pinkfresh Studio Dies (Retiring) (PFS / EHLLC*)

This tag die has a sweet teardrop shape and different semi-circle designs you can inset—for this card, I just used one of the semi-circle designs to knock out a window style backdrop behind the birdies. (Finished card is a 4-bar and measures 3.5 x 5”)

Feat. Diagonal Stitched squares (PFS) ; Fillable tag with pocket (PFS) | Other: Fruitastic, PinkFresh Studio Clear Stamps (Retiring) (PFS / EHLLC*) / Fruitastic, PinkFresh Studio Dies (Retiring) (PFS)

With little eyelet/lace pattern options, a pocket and peek-a-boo opening, you can make all kinds of darling tags! I think the diagonal stitched square layer compliments it well and gives this card such a fresh look!

OMBRÉ RETRO HOLIDAY TAGS

12 tags of Christmas are underway at the Ellen Hutson blog — are you up for the challenge???

It just occurred to me that even tho I had made these ombré holiday tags a long time ago, I hadn’t photographed or shared them (face palm) . . . Truth: The Shipping Tag Die is one of the simplest, yet most ingenious things I believe I have ever designed. Why? Because if I’m a gonna make tags, they have to be quick and easy to make a butt load of. I am a vewy lazy tag maker.

I’m very in to persimmon, coral, orange, and mustard for the holidays this year, I’ve noticed . . .

BIG SCRIPTY THANK YOU IN GOLD

TWO THINGS: A share. And a sale.

THE SHARE:

Saw something similar on Pinterest, went agog, had to emulate. I. LOVE. IT.

big-scripty-thankyou-gold-001-2.JPG

Full disclosure—I used a small leafy branchy stamp from a favorite Flora & Fauna set to stamp some accent images using a soft yellow ink. I traced over them with a gold gel pen and then doodled the remaining leaves. The monoline strokes were actually drawn using the shadow die from that set as a guide. When you don’t have a gel pen AND ink pad in a matching shade of metallic gold, you have to wing it. YAASSSS, QUEEN!!! (monkey clapping and bouncing up and down rather vigorously)

Seriously, I love this card so much I could marry it. Gives my minimalist heart the vapors!!!
