ESSENTIALS BY ELLEN APRIL 2023 RELEASE IS AVAILABLE NOW (affil)

I am addicted to “type”. I love words, letter forms and typography. There’s a lotta’ my beloved type in this release and the larger the type, the more it makes me giddy. I’m sharing a few samples I made with my new stamps, dies and hot foil designs but there’s a lot more inspo and goodness over on the release page, so check it out by clicking the photo above, or the link directly beneath.

Closer details can be seen in the slide show below:

I share more insights and details on the products I designed and the samples above in a recent video on the Ellen Hutson YouTube Channel right HERE.

Someone on Instagram asked about the colors I used so I am listing the color palette I stuck with for all my samples down below in the supplies. Note, some are paper colors that have been discontinued 😭 but I have included suggestions for alternatives I think would be lovely and are very similar in hue.

Hope you get a chance to join the Ellen Hutson Release Hop over on Instagram—there’s a giveaway and all you need to do is leave some comment love on the hop stops, to toss your name into the hat for an opportunity to win! The eye candy is DELISH!!!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you found the above inspiring!

ELLEN HUTSON CELEBRATES 15 YEARS

I’m so proud of my long-time friend Ellen—to have been in business for 15 (FIFTEEN!!!) years is such an accomplishment and I could not be more thrilled for her! Man, how the years have flown and her company has grown into an amazing small business that all started from basically a closet, if you can believe it!

Now through the 17th, 11:59 PT, you can save 20% PLUS all qualifying orders of $100+ will receive a gift with purchase, in the form of this delightful stamp set, HB2U! Click HERE to go to straight to the “You are Special” Category at ellenhutson.com

I added some notations to my shaker design for this set, as a number of folks have told me they find them helpful. My favorite tip, is snipping that little triangle on the edge of the circle window to create a balloon, heh, heh, heh!

I do think I overfilled the shaker with a bit too much confetti stars, tho; forgot to repeat my mantra, “Less is more. Less is more. Less is more.” . . . Learn from my mistake, LOL!

I just got my COVID booster and was feeling kinda puny this morning, but it’s subsiding and I should be in tip top shape by this evening once again.

Have a wondermous week!

EBE SUMMER OF STAMPING RELEASE 2 NOW LIVE

OK, I must admit that I’ve ALWAYS wanted to create a tropical themed set featuring a hula dancer and now I got one! (fist pump) YASSSSSSS!!!

feat. Aloha Stamps & Dies | Tilt & Rock Die Set ; Palm trees from Jungle Stamps & Dies

Because the above are still shots, you may not realize it, but in these samples ↑ ↑ you can make the hula girl’s skirt TILT to and fro or things like the palm trees ROCK back and forth using the Tilt N’ Rock Die Set EEP!!!

Here’s a VIDEO TUTORIAL on how to use this fun die set! Now, just think of all the different things you can add this kind of motion to . . . I know your wheels are turnin’ like mad, aren’t they?!

feat. Aloha Stamps & Dies

This serene beauty from the set reminds me of a trip the Mister and I took over 35 years ago—our one and only trip (so far) to Hawaii. This needs to be rectified because I’d really love to go again, but I get SO crabby in hot climates . . . When I was making this design, I just loved how the “cool” color scheme looked so calming and inviting, with just the little pops of yellow here and there.

If you’d like more info on products that coordinate well and were used in creating these samples, please visit the release page HERE; they are showcased there for your convenience.

Thank you for taking a moment to stop by my little place here, out of what I’m sure is a busy summer season! July is our family’s travel month, so we’ve been on the go, here and there and the weather has been AMAZING (‘cept for that wretched heat wave we had a few weeks back!)

FUN BIRTHDAY CARD FOR GIRLS - CATHERINE POOLER

catherine-pooler-hop-slider.jpg

Welcome! So glad you’re here for the Catherine Pooler blog hop! Be sure to take note at the bottom of my post for giveaway info!

I’m sharing a fun and colorful birthday card today that I think any girl would get a kick out of! Brace yerself for a flash-back to the 1980’s and 90’s—this card was totally inspired by the Lisa Frank Sticker and Stationery products, sooooooo very popular way back when!

I thought that rainbow paper from the Totally Rad collection, die cut into a Big City, would make such a great background for the roller skates!

cp-birthdayroll-001-B.JPG

I used the EH Swing N’ Slide Dies to make a penny slider channel for the skates to go back and forth on as you tilt the card. Of course, I had to add lots Stickles, right?! “This birthday card is too sparkly!”, said no one ever.

••• GIVEAWAY •••

One random & lucky commenter will win $25 to the EH shop! To enter for a chance to win, make sure to leave comments at each stop along the hop! Comment before Sunday, March 29th at 11:59pm PDT. Winner will be notified by email.

May the odds be ever in your favour! (wink)

Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy the eye candy from the rest of the Ellen Hutson Ambassadors hopping along:

Welcome to the September EBE Release Hop!

So. I KNOW. I KNOW Dino-mite Christmas is, in fact, a holiday themed DINOSAUR set, but I just could not resist having “Godzilla” stomp into the city with birthday wishes. It just cracks me up!!! Did you ever watch Godzilla movies when you were a kid?

I had to incorporate Brandi’s Backyard Party set for the greetings and cake. Godzilla’s flaming breath is the latté steam from A Breve Note. When everything just falls into place like this, ya’ gotta run with it. Am I right?!

Inside, the card reads, “You party animal” (also from the Backyard Party set). I mean, seriously . . . •chinkle•

My granddaughter (almost 7 yrs. old) love dinosaurs and to my surprise, can identify/name a number of different types—she knows more than I do!
