FUNNY BABY CARD

poppin-bottles-001.JPG

Carly and her hubby Shaun are awaiting the arrival of a sweet baby boy and we couldn’t be more excited for them!

I just knew I was saving those clear rain drop embellishments for sumpin’ special! (wink!)

The camera couldn’t pick it up, but the pale blue streaks are also top coated with streaks of Clear Glitter Gloss NUVO Aqua Shimmer—so shimmery IRL! I love funny baby cards and this was a hoot to bring to life!

USING LETTERBOARD DIE CUTS FOR A UNIQUE BABY CARD

letterboard-twins-001-A.JPG

Fellow EH Ambassador Emily Midgett is expecting twin boys and we thought it would be fun to share her joy with a “sprinkle” shower!

I had several ideas engaged in an epic battle in my head, but this “BOGO” version won . . . it made me chuckle the most. (wink). And, you know how I love me a card that makes me laugh . . . !

Now, I know this could have been done in more traditional baby hues, but I must admit to having a fondness for the traditional black, with a wood frame, and white letters. I couldn’t help but borrow the little baby onesie die from Baby, by Pretty Pink Posh, to cut a matching pair of outfits from felt, for a touch of warm fuzzies. EEP!!! (#hearteyes)

3 SIMPLE AND SWEET NEW BABY CARDS - PRETTY PINK POSH

pretty-pink-posh-slider.jpg

Welcome to the Pretty Pink Posh Hop! You can see their latest release at this link: PRETTY PINK POSH SPRING 2020

I have 3 darling but simple new baby cards to inspire you with!

For whatever reason, I was drawn to yellow and mint for this trio’s color combo.

Images were white embossed onto white card stock, and then ink blended over the top, before die cutting. Just a little bit of scoring on the base card adds a nice bit of texture and interest, don’t you think?

The little lamb was embossed with Fallen Leaves Versafine Clair ink and clear detail powder onto watercolor paper and then watercolored using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.

“Baby” was die cut 3x from yellow card stock and stacked together; after gluing onto the card, I coated the top with a Clear NUVO Glitter Gloss Brush Pen—wish that had shown up on camera better, but you get the idea.
