MAKING A LIGHT UP CARD

I’ve been wanting to make this card for awhile now—so fun to make the night sky light up for this adorable Lil’ Squatch peeking out of the forest . . .

Those EZ-Lights are my favorite—I love how quick and easy it is to work with them!

LIGHT UP ASIAN LANTERNS CARD

Cards that light up are among the most popular interactive cards you’ll find—there’s something magical about pressing a button and having a scene become illuminated right in the palm of your hand. If you’ve ever wanted to try your hand at making one, but been intimidated by making an electrical circuit yourself, you may want to try the EZ-Lights by Pear Blossom Press!

I used some beautiful Washi Paper from HAI Supply that coordinated with images (So Matcha Stamp Set) I had already stamped and colored. I heat embossed the lantern images with black pigment ink and clear embossing powder onto the Washi and then die cut those out. Washi paper is still made by hand using centuries old methods. To learn more about it, you can visit this link: Mino Washi Paper I love Washi paper for its beautiful patterns, colors, texture and its translucent properties. The little LEDs shine through them in a lovely way!

A card like this is perfect for special occasions and becomes a keepsake because of its extra-special features!
