CAKE AND CANDLES

Need some quick, easy cards for an upcoming birthday? Or one that you missed, which always seems to be my situation, LOL! Both of these feature the same set, Hip Hip Hooray, by the Stamp Market

The cake card was stamped all onto a white panel (quarter sheet of card stock), sliced through on the diagonal and then the bottom was mounted flush to a standard A-2 card base and the top layer was popped up with dimensional adhesive.

Added some NUVO Drops in coordinating colors and BOOM!

This second one features blown out candles . . . do you get it? LOL!

This is a modified version of a card I taught recently in a LIVE class. Quick video showing how below:

Are you always on time with your cards, or always late, like moi?

Cheers and thanks for stopping by today!

FLORA & FAUNA CELEBRATE THEIR 2ND BIRTHDAY!

My sweet friends over at Flora & Fauna are turning 2 today and have a lovely sale going on! Be sure to use code birthday2 over on their site for 20% off!

I actually have an online class featuring some previously released Flora & Fauna stamps right HERE—if you enjoy their quirky and fun stamps/dies, this class is right up your alley!

I have a few creations to share, featuring dies from their most recent release.

Love having this sprig of flowers peek thru the card front like this . . .

This one features negative die cutting and lots of “sloppy” watercolor . . .

Love putting a high gloss finish on die cuts—reminds me of porcelain or ceramic! •all the heart eyes•

Thanks for stopping by!

A DAY WITHOUT COFFEE . . .

lattelove-002-1.jpg

Still coffee, still neutral. But this one has a cheeky peek-a-boo window effect using this wonderful Avery Elle Die Set—there’s pretty much a size for any length sentiment you might need, which is pretty cool!

And, when you open it, you see, in the words of the infamous Paul Harvey . . . “ . . . the rest of the story. Good day!”

I got a lovely soft watercolor effect by applying some color from the Clean Color Real Brush Markers I used against an acrylic block, loading the color onto my waterbrush from there, and then happily slopped away . . . You know my methods.

LOL!

Cheers and I hope you do have a very.good.day!

WHITE PUFF EMBOSSING POWDER

I totally forgot I had this sitting in the hopper, awaiting a write-up and all . . . And like the last card I shared, it continues on in the neutral color scheme I’ve been taken with of late. Rather classic and timeless, which I really REALLY like!

The skinny stripes were die cut through a white panel and I borrowed that sentiment from Bear Ware 3 because it just seemed the perfect match for the design. After I stapled that to the panel it was all mounted to a kraft base card.

Used my Clean Color Real Brush Markers + my Aquash to watercolor the images (stamped onto watercolor paper).

Yeah, that’s the puff white embossing powder at work again—just looks so cool on top of that deep rich brown coffee! •SWOON•

This card reminds me of a lovely morning coffee I had a short time ago with a friend at one of our local coffee shops, called Sunshine Drip—they served our coffee in real porcelain coffee cups and it was soooo nice to catch up with her (although I’m afraid I probably talked her ear off, LOL!)

Hope you make time for coffee with a friend sooner, rather than later! It’s good for the soul!!!

Cheers!
