LITTLE BIRDIE

As I mentioned in my previous post, I’m currently visiting my daughter’s family in Japan. But, I realized there were a few projects I’d made from my most recent EBE Release that I hadn’t shared here, so I’ll try to pop in, when time allows, with a quick share here and there.

This little birdie is just so sweet and love how the solid/filler allows you to highlight his li’l cheek and wing! I have a thing for birds . . . Not sure why . . . I think it’s just that they seem so graceful and free. Unless they’re crows, buzzards or vultures, of course. LOL!

After assembly, the balloon was treated to a nice coating of Glossy Accents and allowed to dry—for some reason, lately, I want to Glossy Accents all the things.

And, I’m a sucker for those teeny tiny star sequins . . . Such an adorable accent! •heart eyes•

Hope you’re having a lovely day and thanks for stopping by!

HOPPY EASTER

Bear is poppin’ in quick like to say, “Hoppy Easter!” Those ears totally crack me!!!

Now that my kids are all growed up (with one living overseas with the grandweeble), rather than dying eggs for Easter hunts and baskets, I make a platter full of deviled eggs—YUM!!! (lotsa lip-smackin’ goin’ on here!)

Hope you’re enjoying a lovely holiday, wherever you are!

TILT CARD

I know—Deja Vu, right?! This is the card I made from the adorable animals I watercolored in the blog/video hop post featuring with the Waffle Flower Water Media Mat, from last week.

If you’ve never made a TILT card before, they are quite easy and fun. I have a video below showing the mechanics—it’s a very simple mechanism and you can customize it to anything you want to make tilt back and forth.

I used Waffle Flower’s Be Her set, but there’s a Be-Him version that is pretty doggone cute, too . . . Just sayin’ . . . •wink•

Thanks for stopping in today!

WAFFLE FLOWER STAMPS WATER MEDIA MAT

The Water Media Mat by Waffle Flower Stamps was one of our Top Ten picks from Creativation 2019 and what a great tool!

I’m not gonna lie: One of the (aesthetic) things I absolutely love most about it? It’s WHITE!!! ALL WHITE!!! YASSSSSSSSS!!! •fist pump•

I’m video hopping with Nina and the Waffle Flower gang over on YouTube!

***Please watch the video there, because, hey, PRIZES!!!***

Full video hop list is available HERE on the Waffle Flower blog!

This thing has quickly become one of my favorite tools because watercolor is my favorite coloring medium and with this mat, you can use not only bonafide watercolors, but also water-based markers, water-based ink cubes, etc.

Keep in mind it is NOT A CUTTING MAT; no sharp stuff allowed, people! But, dang! I talk about all the other things you can do on this surface in the video—And, my apologies for the audio; the Mister decided to mow the lawn during the only time frame I had for voice-over and I don’t have a sound-proof audio booth . . . •sigh•

Those little she critters are so adorable and, no kidding, they’re the perfect size for watercoloring! And, gosh, so perfect for that tilt card, right?!

CUTENESS!!!

Have a super fab day!

BLOOMIN' GOOD DAY

Those Picket Fence Life-changing brushes literally have changed my ink-blending life. I didn’t have paper in these exact colors so I faked it! •chinkle• By that, I just mean that I white embossed the sentiment multiple times (from Everyday Punnies) onto white card stock, trimmed it apart into strips and then used the brushes and Catherine Pooler Inks to blend over the top.

I ALWAYS struggled with the ink blending tool no matter how much I practiced. (insert frowny face) There’s something about the handle on these brushes, tho, that makes a huge difference for me—my grip is naturally, and almost unconsciously, loose and the flexibility of the handle prevents me from applying too much pressure, especially wonderful when I’m trying to achieve a “pale” blend. Super satisfying. •fist pump•

Hope YOU are having a bloomin’ good day and thanks for stopping by!
