ESSENTIALS BY ELLEN AUGUST 2019 RELEASE

Hello, HELLO!!! (envision me monkey clapping and bouncing on my chair) And welcome to the August EBE hop! So glad you’re here—hope you like eye candy. . . (chuckle) You can see the whole August collection and lots of inspo here: Essentials by Ellen August 2019

Along with our hop, there will be prizes so be sure to read the details on that following my project photos! Yes, photos. I have three projects I’ve been dying to share, and more to come. YASSSSS!!!! (pats self on back)

Halloween is the Mister’s birthday so we have a lotta fun this time of year—I had so much fun illustrating the characters in this set! I’ll be sharing some adorable treat packaging ideas soon, as well! And, did you happen to see the sneak peek from this webisode of Hello, Monday on YouTube??? Another fun version using the very same stamp set, very same layout and similar color scheme.

So! What do you think of Bear’s new companion? Li’l Bear is down at the pumpkin patch today with Dad, but has sooooo much more to do as the holidays approach… (wink) . Big Bear (the original) is from All Inside.

How ‘bout dem Pom poms? Santa and Snow dude have been taking selfies and needed a cute garland to dress up the Polaroid frame. Soooooo cute!!!

LITTLE BIRDIE

As I mentioned in my previous post, I’m currently visiting my daughter’s family in Japan. But, I realized there were a few projects I’d made from my most recent EBE Release that I hadn’t shared here, so I’ll try to pop in, when time allows, with a quick share here and there.

This little birdie is just so sweet and love how the solid/filler allows you to highlight his li’l cheek and wing! I have a thing for birds . . . Not sure why . . . I think it’s just that they seem so graceful and free. Unless they’re crows, buzzards or vultures, of course. LOL!

After assembly, the balloon was treated to a nice coating of Glossy Accents and allowed to dry—for some reason, lately, I want to Glossy Accents all the things.

And, I’m a sucker for those teeny tiny star sequins . . . Such an adorable accent! •heart eyes•

Hope you’re having a lovely day and thanks for stopping by!

MODERN CHRISTMAS WOODGRAIN EFFECT

I’ve been so busy working on some illustrations for future releases… trying to get ahead, which always seems/feels impossible. I’m so far behind, I can see my arse up ahead. Do you feel like that? Running… Always running…

So, just popping in to quickly share this sample I made a while back with a set that is retiring, called Modern Christmas. I just love this set because it’s a two-step! (The coordinating dies have already sold out, just FYI)

The faux woodgrain effect was achieved by stamping the detail tree (grey ink), in two rows, tightly together and rotating on the 2nd row, nestling it into the first row. The wreath was die cut first from white card stock, and then I stamped the solid tree repeatedly over the top (green ink), rotating and overlapping the image to get a really fun look!

That’s all I got for today before head back down to the salt mines. ;)

Have a great day—and weekend!
