Dad’s birthday is this week, and I wanted to make him a card that “fit” him. My dad is such an interesting man, with a great sense of humor. I love the stories he tells about his time in the USCG, when he was a kid growing up—even if I’ve heard them before, I never get tired of them.

The copper hue of the foil shows up more “coppery” in real life; wish I could have captured it better on camera, but you get the idea. •grin•
